The Teddy Bear Cops™ Auto Donation Program

It is a program designed to encourage private individuals, organizations and 501 (c)(3) charities to send teddy bears to police and fire department, in their own city and others across the country, to be given to children who have witnessed or experienced a great or small calamity.

This website is an example of the Teddy Bear Cops™ Program at work. The Program in conjunction with a 501 (c)(3) charity, that issues the tax receipts to donors at this site, uses a percentage of the selling prices of donated vehicles to send thousands of teddy bears to police and fire departments all over the United States.

But, more bears are needed, and that need is generated by child abuse.

Child Abuse

Child abuse is manifested in many modes in our society, today, from outright physical cruelty, to forced pychotrophic drug ingestion, to governmental mandated miseducation.

No matter the form or substance of child abuse, be it subtle or gross, tomorrow we will inherit the world we are creating today. A society littered with victimized children will inevitably bring us parents who will seriously compound our deplorable child abuse situations.

Abuse of children is so pervasive one hardly knows where to start in remedying the problem. Doing something positive, on any scale, however, is vastly superior to doing nothing; and, a good place to start is helping the Teddy Bear Cops™ Program.

The Program provides thousands of teddy bears to police, fire and emergency vehicles to be given to children who have experienced a catastrophe and are in the grip of trauma, in hopes of preventing or reducing, any lasting emotional damage to those children by easing them away from sliding into a state of shock.

Offering a child a teddy bear during a moment of intense stress

Sure, such a proffered teddy bear is merely a diversion, but it can be a critically important diversion and far more valuable than all the after-the-fact psycho-babble and drugs psycho-babylonians could ever utter or prescribe.

Such a physiological reaction as shock is usually characterized by a marked loss of blood pressure and a depression of one's vital processes; and, shock can kill, especially the young body of some innocent child. Additionally, an emotional shock can create substantial and lasting damage to the psychological development of a child, often, leading to a debilitative neurosis. The simple fact is...a mere teddy bear, given to an emotionally traumatized child has the potential of preventing him or her from going into shock.

Send along a short note stating the bears are to be placed in police vehicles and given to children who have endured a crisis; include your name and address.

Then frame, and hang on a wall, the "Thank you letter" you'll receive so you can remind yourself...

You did something important.
